3 Decor Trends I Used for Toasty’s Anniversary (That You’ll Want for Your Next Event)

This year’s Toasty anniversary wasn’t just a celebration — it was an Italian-inspired lunch that turned an indoor space into a warm, red-toned dream. 🍅

I wanted to bring the energy of an Italian summer lunch full of life, texture, and that unmistakable charm that comes from mixing food, design, and good company. Every detail revolved around the color red, inspired by the tomato; bold, vibrant, and full of personality (just like Toasty).

So, here are the 3 decor trends that made our anniversary celebration stand out and that you’ll want to steal for your next event in Miami:

1. Stripes Are the New Neutrals

I’m calling it now!!!! Stripes are everywhere. From the backdrop to the napkins, and even in the small personalization details, stripes added the perfect mix of structure and fun.

They’re bold yet timeless, giving any setup that “effortlessly styled” look. Whether it’s a birthday brunch or a cocktail cart setup, a few striped accents instantly make your event feel editorial, but still warm and inviting.

Pro tip: use stripes in just one or two elements to create a visual rhythm without overwhelming the space.

2. Tomatoes, Garlic & Chilis as Decor (Yes, Really) 🍅🧄🌶️

Who said centerpieces have to come only from a flower shop? This trend is all about embracing organic beauty, adding unexpected ingredients like tomatoes, garlic bulbs, and chili peppers into tablescapes and setups.

They bring color, texture, and a little bit of that “what is that?!” curiosity that makes guests stop and look closer or even eat them 🤭 (my little niece, who is 3 years old had a blast eating my centerpieces 😅). It’s playful, Mediterranean-inspired, and perfect for anyone who wants their event decor to feel fresh and a little unpredictable.

3. Natural Materials & Textures that Feel Effortless 🌿

If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that texture creates emotion. For this setup, I layered rattan accents, wooden details, and soft natural fabrics to create a grounded, Mediterranean feel.

Our new rattan cart tied it all together with matching lamp shades and wooden touches that added that understated luxury I love. Everything felt cohesive, calm, and timeless, proof that natural materials never go out of style. The result? A look that felt calm, elevated, and deeply intentional, exactly what 2025 event styling is all about.

Trends come and go but good design always tells a story. At Toasty, every cart, every backdrop, every petal (or tomato 😉) is placed with purpose.

If you’re planning your next celebration and want something that feels different, beautiful, and so youLet’s make it happen.
